There is never a guarantee that any child will grow up to be perfectly healthy. Do they not know that there are all various kinds of health issues that any child can get down the road? What happens when the child they end up giving a chance gets something that is a costly treatment. Are they going to just say this is too much of a burden? When you sign up to be a parent it’s your job to help and protect your child. Its sad that they couldn’t take that on from the start.

I'm an ethnic Ashkenazi Jew, with every single one of mental illness that comes with such. Yes, it's true, hereditary illnesses do exist. Thanks be to Christ Almighty I was adopted at 1 month of age by a beautifully devoted protestant family and was raised as such. Took a 20 year hiatus to shit on Christ only to come to the fullness of the Christian(Catholic) faith, with a two(one heavenly and one earthly) who may no understand my journey but fully support it

I think people with downsyndrome are one of the purest souls on earth, but in most cases it takes a life time commitment to take care of them. Its their decision to do what they think is best for themselves nothing wrong with that🤷‍♀️. You have your believes they have theirs in my opinion a embryo or fetus isnt a baby.

When I was pregnant at 41, I declined the genetic testing. I had to sign refusal several times. I kept telling my doctor, you get what is meant for you. God plans each life before they're created in the womb. We don't get to pick and choose.

This news hit me so hard. I had a miscarriage that devastated my heart and since then whenever I dream of that baby, I think of her with Down’s syndrome for some reason. I like to think she’s with God and beloved entirely for who she is.
