Cottage culture is simple. Lake + fire + friends + Hip = perfection

Thank you. I immigrated 36 years ago and I have nothing but gratitude for Canada. We have pur problems but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

Born and raised Canadian here and I LOVE hearing all the things you love about this country. It makes me appreciate it that much more. All the small things you talk about, most of us take for granted ❤️

The nearest Bulk Barn to me is 4.5 hours away. I've made full day trips just to shop at the bulk barn lol

Have you had the chance to explore the east coast of Canada-especially Newfoundland. Gorgeous-friendly on steroids and such a beautiful way of life.

Lovely post, thank you and I agree with you political observation. We squabble a bit, but we’re pretty stable. I’m an eighth generation Canadian.

When I was 20, a long time ago, I made a road trip from Anchorage to San Francisco. I appreciated the Canadian part, and still have good memories of it. People don’t understand how huge it is.

Bulk Barn sucks. You're supposed to pay less in bulk, but you come out of there needing a pay day loan...

The 1st time I traveled from Montreal to Alberta and went to through the Rockies, I was in my late 20's so over 30 years ago, but i was blown away. I had no idea we had something like that in Canada. I had gone skiing in the Alps, in France in particular, before that. Anyway I've been back skiing in Alberta and BC. It's awesome. We also drove through the Okanagan from Banff into Vancouver. Highly recommend it.

Thank you for being such a warm advocate for our country. Canadians are humble, but there’s an awful lot of good here to share. I’m very glad to see more people coming by for a visit 🥰

Cottage culture is more of an Ontario thing. In BC, I think it’s really more for the privileged. I don’t even think people use the word “cottage” that often.
