Jen Thompson is legendary. My favorite approach to arch setup is to start with leg drive, then I push against the racked bar to slide my shoulders down towards my hips. Since my hips are sliding up while shoulders slide down, a natural arch forms where I'm nice and tight and I can feel my abs firing to offset the arch. While pushing off the bar I make sure scaps are flat and tucked to make 3 points of contact with 2 scaps and my hips, and I'm ready to push the bar up instead to start the lift
