@gabbybermea3: I’m a licensed architect, and have been in the industry for a decade. I’ve worked on schools, campuses, civic buildings across countries. I use AI almost every single day. Here’s what I see: The shortage is real. Retirements, people leaving the profession, fewer coming in. AI isn’t solving a supply problem. We need more architects, not fewer. AI is a tool. One of the most powerful one I’ve seen introduced to this profession. But it still needs a human behind it. Use it right and you’re a 3x architect. Ignore it and you fall behind. That’s not the tool’s fault. The New Architect is emerging. Part designer, part technologist, part systems thinker. The people in this role aren’t worried about being replaced. They’re building what comes next. This is the most exciting time to be an architect. Not despite AI. Because of it. Agree? Disagree? What would you add?
