Before I started seeing Ashley (Haus Salon, North Loop in MN) my hair was already SO over processed from bleach that it was breaking off like crazy. I felt like it was so bleached that it was basically white, which was not what I ever wanted. She helped me fix the horrible stripey look I had going on (the icy all over blonde look was from my first time visiting her!), but I knew I wanted healthier hair and I was sick of the maintenance that bright, icy blonde required. From then on she started to transition me to a warmer, more golden blonde by doing this every visit (3-4x a year for about 1.5 years): 1. High Lift Tint: Wella Kolestone 12/02x40 vol 2. Base Break Gloss: Wella Illumina 8/ = 8/38 2x 10 vol for 5 min 3. All Over Shine Gloss: Redken Shades EQ Clear with cap full of 8c and 9aa all over for 5 min It was feeling a little dark this summer so she added roughly 8 foils (4 on each side) of bleach to the top just to brighten and help blend with my lengths. Other than that, she hasn’t used bleach on my hair in over 2 years. I wanted to bring some of the depth I had underneath my hair to the top during my most recent visit to her, so this is what she did during that visit: Lowlights - Redken Shades EQ Root to Mids: 7nb dash of 7aa Mids to Ends: 9nb dash 9aa Took sliced panels of lowlights, weaved around the hairline and did only Mids to End formula around hairline. Processed 20 min, Shampooed and applied K18 Then applied 7nb 8wg dash 7aa mixed with Wella Color Touch 4% developer equal parts to the root. Processed 5 min then applied all over Redken Shades EQ Clear with a bit of 9AA 9NB and processed that for 3 min. If you are in MN or close enough to @haussalon in North Loop, @ashley_at_haus is AMAZING & you have to go see her for your color. I’ve never worked with a stylist who understands how to make the in between / transition phases of blonde look just as good as the end goal. #haircolor #blondehair #haircoloring #hairtransfomation
