I’m conflicted on this. On one hand, if the author writes “NBD”, you should say “NBD”. On the other hand, if the author says “etc.”, you should obviously say the full word.

I feel like the only time to appropriately say ‘nbd’ over ‘no big deal’ is if the character is actually texting someone (or if it’s been previously established that they actually have the personality trait of saying text abbreviations out loud). That’s how I’d approach the project at least. 😅
