Could you explain why? I’m currently a rising junior in engineering but my gpa is below a 3. I genuinely love the material I go over in class but I feel like all my peers have a knack for it over me. I’m not giving up though!

I always tell people that grad school is a hundred times easier than undergrad not because the work is easier, but because it’s what YOU want to study and learn; so, by default, even hard work is “easy” and rewarding.

you dont need smarts for school, just time. if you show up for all the lectures and do all the assignments you'll always pass. you might have to skip other events to achieve this tho, but your intelligence is never the issue.

From my experience, you don’t have to be smart, but you do need to be genuinely interested in what you’re studying, and have a lot of self discipline to stay on track with requirements and deadlines.

School and graduation is not a testment of intellect… it is the ability to finish what you started and finish in the face of all that life throws at you. Everyone is smart enough but not everyone is disciplined enough to finish. 💯

I second this! I applied to a lot of graduate schools and was so afraid I wasn’t going to get into any, once the decisions came back I got into my first choice! So don’t let imposter syndrome get the best of you!
