One of my crabbies changed into one of the pretty ones in their shell store and I got too excited so it immediately changed back to one of the brown ones. Next time I will hide my enthusiasm.

I just rescued 3 more hermit crabs. They were all in painted shells. I put new natural ones in with them and they changed into the new ones within 20 minutes. I need to get some more bigger shells for them soon

Mine do the same thing with the same brown shells. lol and I have sooo many pretty options for them, I get so excited because sometimes they will change into one of the cool ones but then change right back to the brown 🤦🏼♀️lol
