with obsession, it literally felt like an AI script. every. single. character. was underdeveloped, and unlikable. literally every single dialogue, every individual action was so offensively wrong there was zero substance for me. while being spoon fed the objective of the film, it fell so fucking flat. sincerely lacked any nuance that could’ve made it interesting. Inde did an incredible job and she acted HER ASS OFF & she deserved a better script. i am thankful for the film, bc the way people describe it shows me where they are internally haha.

I disagree big time with you, but props for having an actual opinion. Hokum was amazing and so was obsession. backrooms felt a bit lackluster in the narrative for me, but I still liked it the more i think about it.

personally, I'd have to put obsession first, then hokum and backrooms are pretty close but I think I enjoyed hokum more? (I loved both sets of the film lol)

Backrooms was terrifying but def only a one or two time watch because most of the fun comes from not knowing what’s coming constantly. I could watch obsession 10 times over but it was less scary. Overall I give obsession 9/10 and backrooms 8/10 both very very good

Love how minimal backrooms is, I think so many movies are such a visual assault, like the Marvel universe. I can’t do those movies anymore it’s genuinely too much. I love just mediation movies that make you just feel some kinda way

haven't seen obsession yet but I expect it to be the best of the 3. hokum had great vibes but ultimately fell flat for me, and the backrooms I enjoyed but for better or worse left me wanting more
