I feel like the manager was trying to pocket that $700 tip afterwards. They gave a bs story to the server about verifying it and they were planning on telling the server in a couple days the tip never went through. But the server spoke up for themselves.

they just didn’t wanna give her that money. there’s no way anyone could be confused on if that was the real tip amount bc they even wrote out “Seven hundred dollars” underneath where they wrote “$700” AND they even wrote in the complete total of “$732”
