Can I do this if my degree was supposed to be a professional degree but now it’s not? It’s more federal issue than the school though 😅

I filed back in 2022 along with my sisters and so far they’ve both received full forgiveness and I’m patiently waiting. I thought it was too late to apply now.

Do you think this would work if I dropped out because the staff/counselors lied to me about the flexibility of classes when I signed up for the program ? I had to 2 children and I had to drop out halfway through the programs because it was NOT as flexible as they made it seem.

If you feel you truly have a grievance because of fraud or misrepresentation on the part of your school then you should file a BDR application. But here are some things you should know about this program: a) the Department of Education does not have a deadline to respond. It can take years (3+) if they reply at all. b) During the last Trump admin they did not process most of the applications and when they did send decisions, they were mostly denials. That led to the Sweet lawsuit which was settled during the Biden Administration (that lawsuit is over-it’s too late to participate). c) outside of the Sweet lawsuit, very few borrowers have had their loans discharged through BDR. So submit the application, yes. But think carefully about taking a forbearance for years while you’re waiting for an outcome that is uncertain. You will not earn any credit towards other forgiveness programs you may be eligible for while in that forbearance.
