They made Superman way too “soft” in the 2025 film, it made him look mad weak, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. sure, Superman is compassionate and empathetic but he’s also firm as well. He’s firm in his principles, firm in his actions, and most of firm in his own strength. That’s what this movie and James Gunn’s portrayal of the character as a whole is missing: that firm and sometimes stoic side of Superman along with the gentle & kind side of him.

Anyone who thinks He-Man has to be a swoll brooding tough guy clearly did not watch the original cartoon. That He-Man was dripping with compassion and empathy. He also never actually hit anybody.
