proud to say i haven’t fallen for anti-communist propaganda. There was a time where I was socialist, but then i realised i was still trying to hold onto capitalism as it’s so deeply ingrained in our society.

Hello there, I was curious if anyone knew of some reliable sources on the communist movements in spain around ww2? I had a coworker bring it up today in passing about “how horrible communism destroyed Spain” but my own knowledge is pretty limited on this movement.

The worst part is that the sentence about communism is sometimes missing. Took me quite a while to find the original when looking at google images. I am not sure if its intentional but a lot of sources are changing the original poem.

I was taught anti-communism in school and I graduated high school in 07. I remember questioning it and thinking it sounded so much better only to be told by my teacher that it robbed us of our identity and was an awful way to live, etc..
