I’m named after a friend of my dad’s who died of cancer right before my parents found out they were having a girl. Her parents are my bonus grandparents and my papaw got to meet my daughter right before he passed - her birth and his death were a month apart. There’s so much love in a name.

I love listening to you and your stories about your husband and your child and that story about your friend was so deep for you to go through. My daughter is a palliative care doctor in New York City and when she comes to visit me on the Cape, I asked her to tell me a story because I love hearing stories about people that are going through cancer and what not and I think about them and I’m thinking about you right now and your family and I am pre-ordering your book because it sounds so wonderful❤️
