@thelizzyjensenshow: Children often become what their parents repeatedly tell them they are. So make sure to tell them they are a child of God! Not because they're perfect. Not because they've earned it. But because that's exactly how our Heavenly Father speaks to us. When a child constantly hears: "You're kind." "You're thoughtful." "You're a child of God." "I believe in you." "I love who you're becoming." Those words begin to shape how they see themselves. As parents, it's easy to focus on correcting behavior. But Jesus was always able to see beyond the mistake and into the person someone could become.
