@the.reframed.collective: Replying to @ihazterbo before a single human ever sees your résumé, you have probably been filled out by several layers of AI. Here are few things that you can do about it. #genx #jobsearch #unemployed #hiring #aihiring
I’m a recruiter and I use workday. Our company uses no AI scanning tools. I review Every. Single. Resume. I also respond to everyone. Period.

This is just too much work and inhumane. Imagine doing this for 10, 20, 30, or 500 jobs, not to mention the four interviews, a case study, and a cognitive test for each job. I'm exhausted and need a vacation before I start the job.

My poor kid is going through this right now. Job hunting has become her full time job and it’s demoralizing and dehumanizing. Every opening takes an hour or more to accomplish and then AT BEST she gets a rejection. Most just go into a hole.

I have submitted over a 1000 resumes in the last year to positions that I am more then qualified for. The only interviews I have gotten were at companies where I knew someone in power.

But what do we do if we don’t have internal connections…… this just feels so hopeless

This post is so tone deaf. Not everyone has an internal connection and most hiring managers intentionally are anonymous or difficult to get a hold of.

Shouldn’t companies be upset about this? It seems that they would be disappointed to learn that they may not be seeing the candidates who are the most qualified for their roles.

The worst thing about this is - all the recruiters lying about this online. I was a hiring manager, this was happening YEARS ago before AI. It was called rules/keyword based automation. I found MANY great employees hidden in the “no” pile that my recruiters NEVER saw. Recruiters are part of the problem. The good ones teach us the game.

I am ready to cry over this. I have been applying for job’s with tailored resumes for jobs I know I am well suited for since last Oct. I have excellent experience and have been in the field for over 30yrs. Yet I’ve had just a handful of interviews, which until now, made no sense to me. I am at my wits end and beyond discouraged.

I tried reaching out to people/hiring managers but they do not respond. After months of trying to make connections AND paying for LinkedIn premium, I gave up. It isn't that easy.

I've been seeing people create AI systems using raspberry pi and after watching this video I think that we need to create a system to be able to combat the AI application process.
Since we now know that applicants are being scanned then we should have a AI system tool that allows us to generate the required information so that we can pass the applications.

change your email address regularly among the emails you have. AI tools that create a score you will keep this score for 330 days so if fail the first time- no matter what you do that score does not change for 330

I recall workday getting sued for demonstrated discrimination against applicants over 40 (Mobley v. Workday, Inc.) for anyone who applied after Sept 24, 2020 but I can’t find a final outcome anywhere

So all these companies like workday say there’s no way to create a universal sign in functionality for us to apply for multiple jobs and therefore we have to create accounts in every job we want to apply. Yet they are able to save your email, identify where you apply, and keep your score?

Re: gaming the system - Sizing down the JD and pasting in white font in your resume is no longer a good idea. ATS (applicant tracking systems) will red flag you

This has been the topic of conversation among HR teams nationwide. AI is creating very expensive lawsuits for government agencies, small businesses, in major corporations. They are gonna have to stop using the tool because it lacks the discernment to take factors into consideration that were not input prior to the search creation.
