Shit made me cry, 28 y/o man with adhd and been dealing with the ebs and flows of life with ADHD - I feel every word you’ve spoken to my core and this has made me realize I need to stop the bs and go to the doc and sort myself out - I dread the grief I’ll go through knowing how much I’ve put myself through by the silly complacency of not doing what I know I’ve needed to do all this time - thank you man sincerely

I'm so curious to the rest of your story! I'm currently in my first round of trying Ritalin and going through the motions of getting diagnosed. You said you wanted these videos to reach people and well it has! This has been helpful seeing it from another perspective and the ups and downs of it, are you back on medication now or?

I’m in the process of getting diagnosed because I cannot live like this. What you describe with showering im like that with food shopping. I will spend a whole week putting it off because I find it so challenging. And when I get to the shops I can sometimes sit in the car for a good 45 minutes before getting out. Also I get my dopamine hits at the gym but if my ‘gym crush’ isn’t there and I don’t get that hit. It’s like crash and burn for the rest of the day, week, and the next thing I know it, months. Anyway. Enjoying these and also a new audience the algorithm is algorithm-ing 🤣

As a parent of a teen boy with ADHD this is good feedback.
As you've pointed out, when you're neuro diverse it's easy to live on this constant roller-coaster which often is triggered by change of life circumstances or life events. One year your running marathons, next year your depressed and overweight. It's a constant battle to stay balanced.

I’m currently crashing and burning on a continues loop. I have zero interest in doing anything and feel so much pain from the amount of potential I’m wasting away. It’s like there’s an invisible wall around me and I keep running into it over and over and over. Please continue sharing your story, I actually have an appointment with my psychiatrist tomorrow and I’m praying that I say the right things go get the help I need. Thank you

Are you back on the dexys? I got diagnosed this year, tried Vyvanse and dex and I don’t think they worked. If anything it kinda got worse and the meds made me feel like I was partying all day so I stopped them

It might sound dump but Is it possible that you need a lot of movement that is very different from other people

This has been incredibly helpful! I am realising that I have had adhd my whole life untreated. Now in perimenopause it’s elevated & I feel everything you’re describing more so now. I am now seeking help. Great content, thanks!

You’re talking about it and I’m literally feeling what that feels like of just being stuck in bed. The mornings are the worst. I try to live an active life and set myself lots of small goals to beat the dopamine. A positive outlook is medicine for me. Not always easy but I am learning new ways to hack my brain every day

No bullshit.. this has been me over so many years. But can we talk about the random spurs of energy and momentum you have when there’s something you really wanna tick off. Then once you reach that destination, you realise you never got to enjoy the journey.. and then everything you done feels lame.. and pointless hahaha

I’m in a crash atm, seen a therapist but it did nothing, I’ve always been on antidepressants and got to a point I didn’t know myself, so I have been anti med for 3 years not even Panadol so I’m just so stuck on what to do
