Something I recommend! If your pup isn’t allergic to peanut butter, buy them some crunchy peanut butter. But the one that doesn’t have xylitol, just some old school crunchy peanut butter. Give it sometimes so they know it’s crunchy. Then when you have to give pills and they chew, they won’t know if that crunchy stuff was peanut or the pills!!

I've found the trick for my dog is hiding the pill in a spoonful of crunchy peanut butter that way he thinks the crunchy pill is just a peanut 😂

My old service dog you used to be able to just give her the pill and she’d eat it. Same with my cat. Yes they get treats after but no hiding it. I was blessed my parents dogs are HORRID to medicate

I had to trick my dog by cutting a hot dog into 3 pieces, first piece had nothing, 2nd piece had the pill and 3rd piece had nothing. Throw the first piece, just to trick her into thinking none of them had anything in them. And when I threw the second piece (with the pill), I made sure she could see that there was a 3rd piece so she basically just swallowed the second piece without chewing because she wanted to get the last piece.

my little soul dog used ro have to take medication for seizures. I used to always get a little piece of velveeta and wrap the pill up in it. He knew what "cheese time" was. I lost him about August 2024. I miss him every day
