The levels are canon to Kanes version its just they work more like biomes taking over parts of the main Backrooms than different levels you get to through no clipping or an elevator

Captain clark is a still life, still lifes are created by emotions and memories. Captain clark was so advanced compared to others because of clark’s own intense mental agony and anger.

So happy Kane doesn't have "levels" in his rendition of the backrooms and it works more as an everything and everywhere all at once kind of thing. Same thing with the monster, it had turned into a whole scp thing which I think ruined the fear factor for me, the new faded memories "monsters" make so much more sense for the backrooms

Its also Kat and Bobby’s shoes halfway in the ground in the creepy room Clark crawls into on his first venture in (after the backpack). With the chair in the middle and the two pairs of shoes in front of it one is black sneakers and the other are Kat’s red sandals, as if the rooms are already “remembering” things from just a few days prior when they recorded the commercial

"Clark's wife" has that unique appereance because her face merges into 2 other split faces which perfectly mimics the gesture of saying no. Clark might have abused her which caused her to Always nod no in severe situations but this is my sole interpretation.
