Question: doesn’t the data center contribute to heat the ocean water?

That’s pretty cool, but do we really need data centres in the first place??

The biggest issue is that it increases the temp of the water in the surrounding area that can have impacts on the sea life and still has environmental impacts. The goal is quantum computing because there is more processing power and almost 0 heat output so need for cooling.

I’m curious about the onsite staff. How will troubleshooting work? How will transporting equipment work? Forget about 99% uptime.

renewable energy should be a prerequisite for all data centers.

I like this. now we need to see others develop similar and perhaps learn a few things

Microsoft tested this a while ago. Proved it totally works, and works well… but it’s expensive.

what all that and it reduces power use only by 22%? and where the other 78 % coming from?

how much heat is that generating and how much is that heat going to affect the nature around it that is the problem with those data centers is how those centers affect the ecosystem I don't see that being any different than a land-based one

How does this not affects the marine life? If it can be heard over a mile away on land?

I hope this works well…I hope they figure out a way to move these centres into space….one data centre is ok….but what happens when countries scale this approach and there’s thousands of these centres in the ocean
