@shirvani_naran: Awareness creates accountability. Accountability creates change. The Linden Market reached out, we spoke, and they have acknowledged the incident and outlined steps they intend to take to improve accessibility and visitor safety going forward. While I appreciate their response, I believe these conversations are bigger than one market. The challenges faced by people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and mobility limitations happen every day in public spaces across Johannesburg and beyond. The original video will remain up because the discussion it sparked has been important, constructive, and necessary. They did advise that they reported the incident to the authorities- I have not verified if that is true but I should hope so. I don’t plan to take it any further. I have enough on my plate to handle with my day to day life as it is. Thank you to each one of you who left your kindness and empathy on my post - the reassurance means a lot to me ❤️ @Mrs Naran | I like things @The Linden Market

absolutely they still have responsibility, even if the car guards are not employed by them.

Unfortunately I will not support that market because of MY own experience as someone with a disability. Until there is a difference.
