My dad was like well why do you need pride flags and events. And i was like because it’s about celebrating who we are after years of oppression of which still goes on. It’s about having a community where you feel safe. And he was like well we don’t have straight pride. 🙄 you can guess who he supports. You’d think having a gay child he would understand but apparently not.
