Lay the baby down for the few minutes you need to shower and give yourself a break. The baby will be fine. The break is healthy for both you and the baby. Turn a vacuum on while you’re in the shower to calm her but take a break.

If this works for you I love that for you! If you’re a new mama and this doesn’t work for you, it’s okay for a baby to cry while you take a shower!

you can tell you truly love being a mother. you take her to the gym, you shower, you make no excuses for any activity. 😭I hope to be like you when mine is born ♥️

I feel like some people on here dont understand that not all moms want/need a break from their baby, it really is easier sometimes to just bring them along, its not hard to shower with a baby especially when its a quick wash, it keeps the baby quiet and its more time that you get to bond, all moms are different and that is perfectly ok, this is what works best for her and her baby, just leave a like and if you wanna comment dont give unwanted advice that she has heard probably a million times

Girl come on now. I had twins and a showered once if not twice a day. That baby will be fine in its crib while you shower.

Yes we obviously know the baby will be fine for 10-20 minutes but I’m sorry but I can’t relax, focus, do anything if my baby is crying. I’m going to hold that damn baby.

As a daycare teacher here! And been around f many children. I’m sorry it hurts but you have to let that baby self sooth and she’s going to have to cry it out.

I think people are missing the “when no one’s around to hold her” part. This isn’t an every shower situation… and even if it was- do what makes you most comfortable. It’s not a crime.

Some people just don’t get the idea of not liking babies to cry 😅 you’re doing a great job! I try to never let mine cry when they’re newborns, it’s just so sad

We have something called a Charli Chair in Australia that’s kinda like a high chair/mini bath that’s safe for newborns. I have a clingy baby and it’s been a lifesaver
