negotiating is an illusion of control. starting price is a ridiculous price point that some people unfortunately fall for because they dont know any better. when you negotiate that "good deal" all you did was end up paying what you should've been paying from the get go. you didnt negotiate a good deal. you negotiated not getting ripped off. then you have to wonder if the dealership gave you the best interest rate offered or if they gave you the bank that offered them a kickback. you shouldn't have to put in work to not be taken advantage of.

dealers still have a little leeway for negotiating. if you like a vehicle that they have on the lot for 100+ days, and negotiate, they should discount it because at that point its starting to cost the dealership money to have it on the lot. and thays before any rebates and incentives

I think all dealerships where it’s cars, ATVs, motorcycles, campers, etc. It should be the price you put online or on the car that’s the price that you pay quit doing dealer add-ons, huge markups, and other gimmicks.
