1957….you wouldn’t understand any of these things unless you lived through it. Now it’s my time to shine and do the things that I want to do. Things that I missed out on doing because I was busy looking out for the rest of the family. Gardening, canning food, cooking supper, cleaning house and looking out for everyone else except myself. Yeah, that’s how I was raised and I don’t regret doing anything for anyone else.

Born in 52, our lives were different to even the 70's. We were raised by Grandparents most of the time, home at the weekends. But we were definitely survivable under anything. Scared of almost nothing. Prepared for the world.

I was the man of the house when I was fifteen. my mother was divorced three times. I was let out of school at noon to work till night loading trucks. had drivers license at sixteen. my sister watched our younger sister while my mother worked as a bar tender till two in the morning. lol
