@lina_al02: Happy Pride Month ✨✨✨ I’d like to spend a little time talking about and representing my sexual orientation, because it took me a very long time to understand and accept it. Being on the asexual spectrum does not necessarily mean having no attraction at all - the spectrum is actually quite broad. Growing up, I rarely saw asexuality represented in movies, TV shows, or even discussed by people around me. For a long time, I couldn’t understand why sex seemed so important to others or why so many people felt they couldn’t live without it. It always felt very foreign to me, and because of that, I often thought there was something wrong with me. It took a lot of reading, self-reflection, and honestly quite a bit of overthinking before I finally realized that the answer was much simpler: this is just part of who I am. Understanding my orientation helped me accept myself in a way I hadn’t before. So today, I can confidently say that I’m part of the asexual spectrum. 🤍🖤💜 (Though I should also mention that I’m panromantic, so I might do a makeup look inspired by the panromantic flag soon too.
