Love this show! And agree the Carter thing doesn’t make sense like he is gone for 15 hrs a day and they don’t care?!? It’s not realistic bc he is still a young kid supposedly.

Observations of this episode: 1. I love that Rip didn't keep that secret about Wes too long. Keeping their marriage as the "main character" is important to me. 2. Carter being a rebel teen is so boring... It would have been so much more interesting if he was thriving but yet observant of all things going on around him, and he uses it consciously or not to help his parents and himself.

The Carter story is getting boring. From what i can see they are trying to make it so that he is not blindly loyal to Beth or Rip like Rip was to John, which is annoying, because without Beth, he’d be an orphan. Same as Rip. What would be refreshing was if he WAS unconditionally loyal to them, but Rip resisted it and told him not to be, and didn’t let him do any of Rip/Beth’s dirty work, so still the loyalty like Rip had for John but not the “you’re just a worker to me” treatment Rip got in return.

The bad guy at the end of y Marshalls flew to Tx. I personally don’t think there will be a crossover but it’s possible. They’re just completely different shows and types of shows. We also don’t fully know where both shows fall into the timeline. We know Marshalls was more than a year after the end of Yellowstone. Not completely sure about DR.
