It is astonishing with the amount of medical gaslighting that I have been through how many times I was told a test was normal when it wasn’t when I was told to just lose weight weight wasn’t the issue and now I have the answers and knowing that I could’ve been on treatment 9 years ago it is infuriating because I could’ve lessened some of the damage I have now we could’ve prevented it from getting so much worse and now we’re doing damage control

gaslighting has been rife in the medical profession for the last 14yr, that I know of. I have an unstable cervical spine causing many issues. Recently at the vascular department with 2 very different BP, I was told to ignore the low one and have my BP taken on the high arm. Told him 'got no chance! the high one got me 2 BP tabs from cardiology and all hell broke loose. asked if stress causes narrowing 😂 'oh yes' he replied 😂 so I said 'well it must be the neurologists fault with the serious stress they have put me under for the last 14yr'. Enough said and walked out!

That’s the number one thing I truly loathe hearing from my providers because “I’m sorry what age am I supposed to be to have this much pain? “It’s insanely aggravating to hear things like that when I’m talking to a medical provider.

Thank you. I am 40 & have been living in pain since I was a child, over the past 4 years I finally opened up to my Neurologist and PCP about how much pain I live with. They helped me find a good Pain Specialist and finally I can say that for the past year my pain has been manageable. I do still struggle and have some very bad days, but my good days finally have started outweighing the bad ones.

I keep watching your videos with the hopes that one day I’ll have enough courage to find a doc again. I’m not ready yet, but thank you for making these videos. Sorry I always comment on them, I don’t have anyone else who understands my issues like this

I'm dealing with the "your labs are normal, in fact great - amazing" said with a side order of "we even took our your uterus in March so you cant be in that much pain, we got rid of everything organic. But... I'm in excruciating pain every day. Every day. Each morning, I can barely reach down to pick up the cat's bowl to feed him. I've had to go part time at work because I cannot cope with fulltime work any more.

My labs aren’t even normal, and they say it’s okay too. 😩 like girl, all my vitamins are off and my thyroid isn’t working and you say it’s okay 👍

I had a pain management dr tell me to stretch and take Advil. For 5 degenerative discs 2 of which are going into the nerves in my spine

it took my second pain management doctor to figure out I had lupus and Sjogren's, that was 6yrs. I'm still in pain but at least I figured out what is going on with me. Now I have a great new pain management doctor that has never said the things you have talked about. I love it.

It took over 20 years to be listened to & heard. It was always something other than pain. The amount of gaslighting I went through & still go through with specialists is beyond comprehension. I have heard everything you said in this video.
