@yeahiteachthat: I became a better teacher when I figured out work life balance. I have not figured that out as an administrator. Even if I leave the building, school takes up most of the real estate in my brain. This wasn’t usually the case when I was a teacher once I was past my first couple of years. This summer, my goal is to lock in in moments like this. It doesn’t matter if I am physically present if I am not mentally present. Today is a beautiful day to spend on the lake with my family; no better time to start that goal!
