My insulin resistance turned to type 2 even though I was on metformin so now I’m on both metformin and mounjaro, with diet changes I’ve been able to lower my A1C to 5.1

Came across this crazy because my thyroid doctor wants to put me on metformin and wegovy . Labs are also good . Comments are bringing hope for future pregnancy 😭🙏

Yes, eventually (about 2/3 months in) my labs came back way better and was able to stop taking Metformin.

I’ve been on metformin for the last 6 months and just started taking a glp-1 and haven’t had any negative side effects! they target different things in your body that’s why some doctors recommend doing both!

I’m on metformin and Trulicity rn I’m on week 3 of both so far I feel like I see a difference in as on metformin for 82 days 500 mg xr and my a1c went from 6.1 to 5.7 and lost like 10 lbs
