@meg.haven: What’s a family of 4 in Washington state have to make to afford to live here? We own a small business and are a single income family trying to buy a house! I’m so curious what everyone else makes it on. Times are crazy! I love doing our #budget every month but it feels very taxing when it just gets more and more expensive to live here! Comment where your family is at and how much it makes to make ends meet where you live! #workfromhome #housing #costofliving #familyof4
We’re in WA too. Family of 5 (but one is a baby under one). We have my husbands single income of just under 100K and live fairly comfortably. We just budget, live below our means & save up for things we want.

That’s kinda how it is here too! We’re a single income family of 4 making $104 annually. Feels crazy that even with “all that money” it feels like it doesn’t do much😅😂

We live in Pierce County and make 175k have a mortgage, 2 kids, and 2 car payments we are good. Even prior to my husband’s 30k raise we were doing well too. We also don’t eat out a lot I buy groceries on the cheap, and prioritize savings. We also don’t try and keep up with the “jones”

$2700 housing, $650 electric/gas/trash (well water), $400 phones and internet, $650 food, $1000 auto fuel/insurance (cars are paid off 2018 models), $250 streaming subscriptions, $1000 to savings. $6650 * 12 =$79,800.00 This would be bare minimum for our home. This doesn’t include activities, school meals or booster club donations, trips to the theater or hair appointments. Also, I no longer have children in daycare. The last one was in an in-home, unlicensed babysitter situation for about $750 x 12 =$9,000.00 more per year. $100k per year would be bare minimum these days for Western Washington.

We live in WA, family of 5, My husband makes 100k, we own a house on an acre, my kids go to private preschool, we have no debt, and we live comfortably. It’d be nice to have more to put away in savings but I certainly don’t feel like we are hurting at all, thankfully.

I'm in pierce county, family of 5, and make around 160k/yr. we're comfortable. however, we also don't have car payments and work opposite shifts so we never needed childcare. we also bought our house at a good time, i dont think we'd be as comfortable if we had to add in any of the above...

We make 250k on a family of 5. We live in Vegas. We could realistically make it on 140 probably. But that would be minimal savings no car payments all meals at home. We do send our kids to private school so that skews the number I guess. We bought our house at a good time with a sub 3 interest rate so that’s great. I just went to Costco for the month and it was 550 and we will still need stuff. Everything is expensive. Our electric bill for summer will be close to 700 dollars
