I tried a 27,900 KRW, around $18, one-day bus tour from Seoul to Pocheon. For $18, I really can’t complain. The tour started around 8 AM from City Hall and included a bus and guide. It was cheap because it was locally supported, so some entrance fees and tour costs were covered by local funding. Small thing to know: because it’s supported, they may ask you to write your name on a participant list or take a group photo for budget proof. Honestly, that part is normal for subsidized tours in Korea. Course 📍 Sanjeong Lake Quiet lakeside trail, about 2 hours including lunch. 📍 Bidulginang Falls A K-drama filming spot. Since June was very dry, the waterfall was a little disappointing. 📍 Hantangang Y-shaped Suspension Bridge High, shaky, and honestly scary. But the view was great. Bring a UV umbrella because there is almost no shade. 📍 Herb Island This was the weakest stop for me. I expected lavender, but there was way more chamomile. If you really want lavender, I’d recommend checking lavender farms in Gangwon-do instead. Lunch was cheaper than Seoul and pretty good. 옹기종기 Bibim guksu was 7,000 KRW, pajeon 12,000 KRW, and Local makgeolli was 4,000 KRW. No forced shopping stop. No assigned tourist-trap restaurant. Bus and guide included. Some local government-supported tours are even free sometimes, so if you’re a student, budget traveler, or just love free/cheap travel, it’s worth checking. How to find similar tours: Search “1 day tour Korea” Check local travel accounts Or search “당일치기 버스” on Korean shopping sites if you can read Korean. Save this for a cheap Korea day trip from Seoul and follow for realistic Korea travel reviews. #SeoulTravelGuide #Koreatrip #KoreaDayTrip #SeoulDayTrip #Pocheon
