Your caption says you use self checkout because you’ve had too many rude experiences with the cashiers, so you avoid the regular registers. So you go to self checkout and then call a cashier over to scan your items for you anyway? If the issue is interacting with the cashiers, I’m not sure how that solves the problem..

From my understanding they only scan like bulk water bottles and you do the rest. I’ve always done that . If you were able to put them in there you’re able to pick up the rest and scan them 😁 or go to checkout it’s not that hard

The things you can’t scan are things like orange juice? Aren’t they there to scan like a 25lb bag of dog food? Don’t use self checkout if you don’t want to do it yourself. All you’re doing is holding up the line

For everyone saying it’s self checkout. The worker is there for the big item products for the employee to scan. I just noticed it’s Costco that’s what the cashier do in that self checkout line.

Why did you go through self checkout if you want or need help scanning? Stick to regular lanes if you have large or a bunch of items. There is never an excuse to be rude but you filming didn’t help. I would have refused too.

People complain in the comment section Costcos own policies at self checkout is if you have a large or heavy item do not lift it and put it on the tray as it may break it so please ask an associate to scan it with the scanner. They don’t leave the remote scanners for customers to use you HAVE to have a worker do it.
