I love Yoshikaru as a queerplatonic ship. As an aroace, hearing "Hikaru's" speach made me kinda emotional, and I was sad that people reduced Hikaru's love to just romantic love. Although I don't judge anyone, because there are as many opinions as there are people. And this is mine

I really like this interpretation and head canon,but in the manga he actually says he isn't sure whether what he feels is romantic or platonic,but that those are HIS own feelings,not the og Hikaru's.

i implore everyone to read the manga trust meee you get so much more insight into their relationship. in the manga, he actually said “i don’t actually know if this feeling is anything like romantic love or friendship, but it’s how i feel. not as hikaru, but as the monster i am” it’s more so that he doesn’t know exactly what kind of like he has for yoshiki, but even tho he doesn’t understand it, he knows he loves yoshiki in a way that goes beyond the ways human love.

I understand "hikaru” so much and he holds such a special place in my heart. I understand the love platonic and romantic that he has for Yoshiki, I love my friends so much in the way he explained, I’d do anything for my friends just to see them smile or just enjoy my company.
