While he has consistently demonstrated friendly social behavior with people, his kennel presentation has progressively worsened and includes repetitive spinning, barking, jumping on kennel doors and walls, panting, and throwing himself against the kennel door. These behaviors have persisted despite regular enrichment opportunities and are indicative of ongoing shelter stress. Outside of the kennel, Ted presents as a social, affectionate, and energetic dog. Field staff described him as approaching with loose body wags and immediately seeking affection. He enjoys walks, exploring, playing with toys and tennis balls, receiving belly rubs, and engaging with people. Staff report that he generally walks well on leash once outside the building and frequently greets people with full-body wags. He can become mildly mouthy when overstimulated during play or handling but responds to verbal redirection.
