Y neighbor got their young kid a red ear slider, years later said kid grew up and moved away for college, the mom kept the turtle in a basin with a rock and like 2-3inches of water. I knocked and asked if I could take the turtle over during lockdown. While I’m still figuring it out as she grows, she’s doing so much better now. This is her today, after laying a bunch if eggs. I’m so proud🥰

yes! I also hate ppl that feed turtles and tortises cat food like it ruins there beak and the can barely eat normal food afterwards if they get rescued and ect, its so disgusting. like if you actually wana keep a pet do reasherch.

I've only met 1 Red ear slider and the guy was an adult so when you showed the picture of the baby i was like AH but this should be brought to light 😭

I have a African side neck turtle and he is in a 75 gallon and I’m saving up for a 150 gallon filter and a better light I love him but he is so messy and since I have a 45 gallon filter I need to do a bunch of cleanings and feed him in a different area and I do plan on also getting him water plants
