Garlic & Pepper Lamb Chops If you had this plate in front of you right now, would you go for the lamb chops first or the mashed potatoes? Ingredients For the lamb chops • 1kg thinly sliced Lamb chops • 3 Royco @Royco.KE cubes • 3 Royco chilli cube • 1 tsp Royco Garlic Powder • 1 tsp Royco Blackpepper • 1–2 tbsp oil For the creamy pepper sauce • 1 cup cooking cream • 2 Royco cubes • Royco garlic & black pepper spice (to taste) • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce To serve • Creamy mashed potatoes Method 1. Marinate the lamb chops In a bowl, combine Royco cubes, Royco chilli cubes, royco garlic and black pepper spices and oil. Rub the mixture well over the lamb chops and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes. 2. Pan grill Heat a pan over medium heat and grill the lamb chops on both sides until nicely browned. 3. Steam until tender Wrap the browned lamb chops in baking paper, then cover with foil. Let them steam for about 1 hour until the meat becomes tender. 4. Prepare the sauce Using the same pan used for grilling, add cooking cream, Royco cubes, Royco garlic & black pepper spices and Worcestershire sauce. Stir and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes rich. 5. Serve sizzling Heat a sizzling plate until very hot. Place the lamb chops on it, pour the creamy pepper sauce over, and let it sizzle. 6. Enjoy Serve hot with creamy mashed potatoes. Tip: The Royco cubes are salted already, we would not need any more salt in this recipe.
