No matter how hard you try. No matter how quickly you act. No matter how much you love them. Unfortunately one of the sweet little shep/mal puppies passed away. The vet did everything they could to save her.. ($800 vet bill) Parvo tests were negative. Didn’t see any coccidia or Giardia. (They also tested another puppy in the litter today for parvo which was also negative) She wasn’t just another rescue. She was a baby who deserved a chance. A full life. A family. A future. Instead, all I could do was hold onto hope and pray for a different outcome. We rushed her to the vet the moment something seemed wrong. We did everything we could. But sometimes, despite our best efforts, it’s not enough. And that reality is one of the hardest parts of rescue. People see the happy endings, the adoptions, the success stories, and I am so grateful for every single one of them. But rescue also comes with heartbreak. It comes with sleepless nights, tears, worry, and the painful reminder that we can’t save them all. Tonight my heart is heavy. Please keep the rest of these puppies in your prayers. So far everybody else is doing okay. Rest easy, sweet girl. You were loved. You mattered.
