I don’t usually comments on post about PCOS. However, this called me ! I recently went to see a genecologist and she told me the exact same thing. She said I didnt need to have my period every month, that I should care about when I want children. Im 27, been diagnosed with PCOS for only 2 years but lived with it for more than 10 years.

isn't the pill the only way to stop ovarian cysts from forming and letting the ovaries heal? (genuinely curious because that was what i was told when they put me on the pill at 16, still taking it at 20 because they told me it's the only way)

Even on the pill I ovulate, but I was also having 3-4 cycles a month each a week long. It was solely to go down to one cycle

When I went in to get diagnosed with it, I was told the best thing they could offer me was the pill. I said absolutely not in any situation but definitely not now because I’m ttc. All of a sudden I could have metformin and progesterone once I mentioned kids. It’s absolutely ridiculous the lack of research and support. I could give you more information on the condition than any healthcare professional and that’s how you know women’s health isn’t taken seriously.
