You definitely should not do that you should be using a q tip and you want to circle both sides of the piercing because you want to clean anything that could be getting trapped, it is also good is after swelling when you clean it to move the jewelry a bit after using the q tip so you can get the solution inside to help with inside healing. Definitely do not rub anything on it especially any paper towels or toilet paper because it can leave the little paper fuzzies and those can get inside but if you use the q tip it should definitely not be drenched and can quickly air dry and you should be all good
