For me I think the hardest part was when I started I was young. I danced cause it was fun, then as I grew older it became a way for me to express myself without words. Especially when I had a lot going on, all I’d want to do is dance. As you get even older it got to be so professional. You have to look THIS way. You have to act THIS way. You need to like THIS. You need to wear THAT. It grew to be a chore more than a passion and it made me fall out of love with it. Sometimes I just go watch others dance because it reminds me of when I felt the most like myself. Dance is such a beautiful art and I was grateful to be a part of it, even if it was for just a little.

I have to get hip surgery and hope to be better by next year ( my senior year ) I’ve been dancing since I was 5 and after next year I will never dance again, never set foot in a studio again, and never touch a stage again. All my art just to be stuck in 8 years of school, a 5-7 year residency and a 1-2 year fellowship and a job that may pay well but comes with a bearing weight
