i’m not defending rory especially in the later episodes and her choices but it make sense why she leaned so much into the life her mom left. she grew up low middle class and since she was a big reader she probably dreamt of living this glamour high society life from the books she read

I don't think Rory is a bad person. I think she's a very real person, with many flaws and not perfect. I like that we see that side of Rory. I think Rory is both light and darkness, and that makes her just like all of us, in my opinion.
