played this game and the teacher kept saying "if you're a single child, if you have 1 sibling, if you have 2 siblings," so on so forth. she didn't consider anyone, mainly me, who had divorced parents therefore multiple step siblings so it was a awhile before she finally got to 11. could hear her slowly start to give up trying to figure out how many I had 🫠

It’s actually good for a child’s brain to do this. It’s a conditional instruction, and it’s considered a milestone for preschool to kindergarteners to recognize and act on these instructions. It’s definitely not fun as a kid to be doing it and following it, but it’s great for a kiddo to recognize them :))
