It’s call “At Will” employment. You do not have to give anyone a reason when you fire them. In fact, it would be really foolish to say anything at all.

You can legally fire someone for not conforming to a desired corporate image. Is it ethical? Probably not. Is it legal? Yes. But you’re right: we DON’T KNOW why she was fired. So don’t say the employer was or was not right for firing her.

Yeah they probably hired her not knowing of possible EDs, but it was completely right if it’s ruining their brand and they feel like she’s promoting unsafe practices

They can’t fire her for her “body image” specifically, but they can fire her if her mental health is visibly deteriorating. Which would happen the further an ED progresses. While she may have been “keeping it together” at the beginning, after a while an ED will cause you to not be able to function (of she did get fired).
