My son just turned 9 at the end of may, I never ever imagined he would use the toilet and assumed he would be in nappies for life, one day I decided to go cold turkey with the pull ups, it’s taken us a lot to get here but he now uses the toilet! He has accidents but it’s still huge progress, keep going mama, you’re doing amazing 💗

I’m sorry. Saw your other video. He definitely has a duel disorder downs and autism. I work with them it’s incredibly hard. People saying he needs privacy is undermining that this your life day in and day out. It’s exhausting. I always feel for the parents I work with. This is your life forever. Getting only a little assistance if you’re lucky. People who glamorize special needs is insulting to the realities that it’s a spectrum and can be a life of pain for the families. Even though they live their children it’s hard.

Sen mum here, would it not be less distressing to have him stand and use pull ups ? That way you can distract with books or tablet
