They're the Kremlin's war trophies and Moscow is Flaunting them. Put on display, Western military hardware. All these items had been sent to help Ukraine on the battlefield, but were later captured by Russia. And remember how all those weapons were considered to be a game changer, like every single European country and the United States. They would always proclaim that now that this tank is here, it's going to change the game and Ukraine is going to win. Never forget that. Including this, the Husky, a British armored vehicle, now a museum piece in Moscow. There are tanks too. This American Abrams had been badly damaged near the Ukrainian town of Avdiivka. It's now a prize exhibit at this military show. Along with the German Leopard tank, the Russians got two. The Abrams and the Leopard tank specifically. I remember Western news media, how they tried so hard to make it seem that now that these tanks are here, everything is going to change. Ukraine is going to move forward. It's going to crush the Russians. And what now? Just a museum piece. Thanks. It's incredible. Jaw dropping, says Natalia. It's amazing to think that our guys managed to collect all these trophies. And here you can see something about Russian society. You can understand that this lady who isn't in the military, you can see how proud she is, how happy she is that our guys, meaning the Russian soldiers, were able to capture these tanks and these weapons and bring them to Moscow. You can see that she's proud and she's happy and she supports her army and her government. There was plenty of interest from the Russian public. Russians crowded around to get a glimpse and a photo. Family days out don't get much more bizarre than this. I mean, here I gotta disagree with this journalist Steve Rosenberg. I think he's just a little jealous. I think he would love to take his kids to the park and be able to look at captured Russian tanks and weapons and armor. But he can't do that because his country is just not capable of doing the same thing. Jealous much, Mr. Rosenberg? So why put all of this on display? Well, I think the Russian authorities have two aims here. The first is to reinforce the Kremlin's narrative that in Ukraine, the West is waging war against Russia, even though it was Russia that invaded Ukraine. Now here again, I'm going to complain. This guy, Steve Rosenberg, is standing in the middle of Moscow, in Russia, with Western tanks, Western weapons right there. Captured Western weapons. And yet he has the audacity to claim, or to try and claim that hey, the West isn't waging war with Russia. The West has nothing to do with this, it's all Russia's fault. But whose weapons, whose tanks are in the center of Moscow? His country's. And his country's allies. So maybe you can tell me who is waging war with Russia. Those don't look like Ukrainian tanks to me. It's Western tanks. But there's also a big element of gloating here. The Russians are increasingly confident about how the war is going. And their main message is written on a sign just over there. And it reads, our victory is inevitable. And you know, I really like that message. Our victory is inevitable. It's so powerful and so strong. And really shows the Russian mentality when it comes to this conflict. But I have to say, Steve Rosenberg, this thing of gloating. Your countries, Western countries and Ukraine were the first to do this. After all, I remember when I was in Berlin and I would walk past the Russian embassy, there would be a Russian tank right in front of the embassy. And it looked like many Berliners, many Germans, many people in Germany at the time were celebrating that a destroyed Russian tank is in the center of Berlin. And the Russians from the embassy can see it out of their windows. So hey, I guess it’s tit for tat, isn’t it? Russia didn't invent the wheel here. In the past, Ukraine has exhibited Russian military hardware.
