I couldn’t agree more, it’s a huge responsibility and some people don’t realise that, and it’s kinder to not have them if you’re unsure, and we need a community that has childless people with more time!

Growing up I never once entertained the thought of having kids. To this day, my mother tells me I'll change my mind when I'm older... I'm turning 24, yet somehow I'm not old enough to be sure about what I want in life?!

47 & childfree. it wasn't a 'hell yes' for me & personally I think kids deserve parents who were a 'hell yes' choice. No regrets. I have an amazing life & get to be the best auntie in the world instead.

I’m 32. I made the decision to not have children, and it seems to be controversial for others but I know I’m making the right decision for myself. I’d rather wake up at 60 and regret not having kids, than be 35 and regretting having them. It wouldn’t be fair to the child.

thank you for talking about it. like you said, you're completely within your rights to change your mind, but it's so ok to not want kids and it should be spoken about more. having kids is treated as the default and it often doesn't leave enough room for this discussion.

Honestly you said it how it is. 💗 I’m not making any hills I will die on as I’m only 16 and may change my mind but I can’t imagine myself having children. I have a mental illness meaning I struggle to look after myself tbh. And sometimes I just wanna be selfish and go on solo dates, holidays, shopping sprees, ect. I just can’t really picture it for myself. 🤣 xx
