THANK YOU! As a therapist you got this social interaction 10/10. Many of you may be surprised what accountability sounds and looks like. Passive aggression is not very easy to pick up. The fact that Bea’s communication has been perceived as “not dropping it” is clear that many have not engaged or experienced healthy communication where both sides are heard. Apologizing does not mean you have a chance dispute someone’s offense. Yes she apologized but quickly went into making excuses for it and told Bea to relax when Bea was picking up what she communicated was being dismissed and then Mel told her to relax and it went down hill from there on both sides.

mel saying “honestly, relax” and bea waiting until she finished her sentence before saying “well, don’t tell me to relax” was the kindest way she could have possibly handled that. bea’s tone never wavered, she never talked over mel, genuinely the only thing she did wrong is she should have addressed her pulling corbin first just to be petty instead of the eye contact leaning thing
