That's not true at all.... I literally went to a school my first year and expressed interest in coaching and had met with the head coach to discuss it. Principal called me and said I couldn't coach, just wanted me to focus on teaching that year. 🥴

Depends if you have tenure or not. If you don’t have tenure you kind of have to do the things they tell you. As a new teacher I tried to say no to things but they wouldn’t let me say no. Now 12 years in I can say no. At first you have to play the game.
