In my circle of friends, nobody has children (I’m 37), but last year one of my friends got pregnant and we all got a little scared. I said to her, “And now… how are we going to tell your parents?” After that, we burst out laughing because we’re all adults. She’s now with her baby and her husband, and every time I see her with a baby, I still can’t believe she’s at that stage of life. It’s something I never thought I would see among my group of friends.

nobody knows what they're doing lol. we're all just winging it. i think the threshold for me to consider myself an adult was to realize that. that and people going "oh I envy you, you have it together". dude! I have no idea what I'm doing. cats, food for cats, food for human, attempt to show up at work and pretend I know what I'm doing, pay taxes in time. that's about it
